CLASSIFICATIONS
DISCLAIMER: The Mississippi State Board of Contractors (MSBOC) has made every effort to clearly define the classifications of licensure and the scope of work covered. However, any discrepancies or questions regarding the applicability of these definitions are ultimately subject to the final decision of the Board. The Board retains the authority to classify the types of work or projects for which a contractor is deemed qualified and entitled to perform under the license issued in accordance with Miss. Code Ann. §31-3-13(h).
Scroll below to view the classifications of licensure offered by MSBOC. Click on the arrow to see a definition and scope of work. There may be additional requirements by other agencies. As a courtesy, MSBOC has tried to note the classifications that may involve additional requirements. However, it is the contractor’s responsibility to keep abreast of law and regulation changes and/or requirements from other agencies.
