A specialty classification that involves utilization of various reinforcing materials such as steel reinforcing bars (rebar), wire mesh, polymers, or alternate composite materials to increase the tensile strength of concrete. This specialty classification ONLY covers the installation of the reinforcing material and specifically does NOT include the pouring of concrete which is a separate classification that requires a test.

The Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors is the contractor licensing authority of the state and is comprised of ten members, appointed to staggered terms by the Governor. The Board members select the Executive Director for the agency and are responsible for setting policy for the licensing standards.
